Hi, I’m the grey hair in the team!
I started my career working for Nortel, Hitachi and Dell in Dublin, London and Paris in global strategic planning and marketing, for 12 years.
Next, I went solo and trained, mentored and consulted with over 1,000 high potential start-ups (HPSUs) for a decade, in my hometown of Dublin, Ireland. As a marketer, my skills were in demand when tech entrepreneurs started exploding. One of those start-ups invited me to join them at incubator stage. After ten years of preaching, I was keen to jump right in and get my hands dirty. I took a 50% pay cut to do so in return for a share holding and board position. Luckily it worked out.
Within 12 months of me joining, the company secured investor funding, won Start-Up of the Year, Emerging Exporter of the Year and other national awards. I recruited Sandra, my Swapoffi co-founder, and worked together for five years. Ricardas, Swapoffi CIO, joined our team a little later.
The three of us worked closely and successfully together for five years. Now, I am thrilled to work with both Sandra and Ricardas again. We all love processes, systems, data, marketing, ecommerce - and travelling!
Working in global markets most of my life, I am familiar with trying to work on laptops in cafés, airports, sofas and kitchen tables. They are not comfortable or efficient for any length of time.
Being self-employed for a large chunk of my career, productivity is a key factor to my earning capability. I prefer to work smart. Having a dedicated home office wherever I travel, is a winning formula.
